1 september 2022

The company has held its annual charitable campaign Back to School involving collection of school supplies for disadvantaged children. This initiative, supported by the Formula for Good Deeds social investment program, brought together about 1,000 employees from 21 cities across Russia.

Throughout the month August, collection stations for dropping off school supplies for children attending social rehabilitation centers, orphanages and boarding schools, as well as for children from low-income and large families, and children with disabilities, were set up at SIBUR Group’s offices and at the company’s facilities.

Amursky Gas Chemical Complex, Voronezhsintezkauchuk and Krasnoyarsk Synthetic Rubber Plant collected gifts for children from orphanages and shelters. Their employees bought school supplies and creativity kits.

Tobolsk-based employees of ZapSibNeftekhim and Petrochemical Transportation Company collected presents for more than 100 children with disabilities and wards of a local social rehabilitation center. In addition to buying school kits, our colleagues put on a major entertainment performance featuring children's favorite animated cartoon characters and a creativity contest.

The Company's Corporate Center together with colleagues from BIAXSPLEN, Polylab, RusVinyl and SIBUR-PETF supported the
Nizhegorodsky Charitable Foundation and a Tver-based Constanta Charity. Through their joint efforts, they managed to collect gifts for some 150 children.

Polyom’s employees helped outfit students of Gymnasium No. 9 and children staying at the Harmony Social Rehabilitation Center for the school year, either acting individually or by joining efforts with other colleagues from their units.

Employees of NIPIGAZ stepped in to help get ready for school more than 80 wards of Svobodny’s Lada Comprehensive Social Services Center. Offices in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Svobodny took part in this campaign. In the Krasnodar and Tyumen offices, our colleagues donated backpacks and sets of necessary school supplies, taking into account the wishes and needs of the children in terms of their gender, age, etc.

Tatarstan’s Nizhnekamskneftekhim and SIBUR-RT took part in the campaign for the first time. Their employees joined the campaign with great enthusiasm and collected presents for 240 children facing hardships in their lives. A festive party was arranged for the children where characters from the Golden Key fairy tale, Buratino, Basilio the Cat and Alice the Fox presented them with school supply kits.

In keeping with the facility’s long-standing tradition, POLYEF held a fundraiser for the wards of the Ufa Center for Facilitating Family Upbringing. The children will be gifted school uniforms, comfortable and stylish shoes, backpacks, and school supplies.

SiburTyumenGaz employees donated school supply kits and backpacks to social care institutions in five towns of the Company's presence: Gubkinsky, Nizhnevartovsk, Noyabrsk, Nyagan, and Pyt-Yakh.

The campaign at SIBUR-Neftekhim and SIBUR-Kstovo was carried out in cooperation with representatives of the sites’ trade union organization. Our colleagues collected school supplies for children who are being cared for by Dzerzhinsk’s Social Security Department and Kstovo district administration’s Youth Policy Department.

Employees of SIBUR-Khimprom and Tomskneftekhim helped more than 20 children under the care of the Family Territory charity and Ordinary Miracle foundation get ready for school. Thanks to their combined efforts, the children were fitted out with kits containing everything they would need to start school.
