SIBUR will support an urban environment development forum to be held in Blagoveshchensk

14 april 2022

The residents of Blagoveshchensk are invited to take part in the Blagoveshchensk is changing forum which will be held in the city’s Palace of Culture (at 98 Sedova St.) on April 16 from 14:00 to 16:00. At the forum, the inhabitants of the city will be able to discuss with professional architects and designers what will become of Sovetskaya Street, what functions and new concepts it needs to be endowed with.

As part of the forum, the city’s active residents will be able to discuss with each other and with urban development professionals the various matters related to the renovation of Sovetskaya Street and of the city as a whole, as well as to articulate their ideas, share their views and their vision of what should constitute a positive change in the city’s urban environment. They will be able to talk to the architects working on the street’s renovation plan and jointly identify existing problems and ways to improve the area.

The forum will consist of two events taking place in parallel with each other: a design session where several teams of participants will discuss the street that is being designed and suggest recommendations for filling the space adjacent to the street with various functions using provided maps, and a workshop where groups of expert will discuss how to improve Sovetskaya Street.
We invite to the forum all those who care about the future of the city of Blagoveshchensk. We will be happy to see not only the current residents of Sovetskaya Street or its guests, but all residents of the entire city at our forum.

We also invite businessmen whose businesses are located in the area under development to take part in the workshop. We do realize that changes that are going to be made to the street may impact some of the existing retail outlets. Be sure to attend, so that the street’s development could be mutually beneficial to all residents.

Please be at the forum on April 16 at 14:00. It will be held in the City’s Palace of Culture (at 98 Sedova St.). Together we can make Sovetskaya Street comfortable and useful for every resident! To take part in the forum, all you will need to do is register

The design for improving the street is being developed by the All-Russian Urban Renovations organization with the support of SIBUR within the framework of the latter’s Formula for Good Deeds social investment program, as part of the former’s bid to win in the All-Russian contest of projects for creating a comfortable urban environment. Should they become the contest’s winners, the effort to carry out further development of Sovetskaya Street will continue.

If you cannot attend the forum in person but still want to participate in the city’s development, please take part in our short
