SIBUR has invited Perm’s residents to take part in a competitive effort to clean up the city's rivers

26 august 2021

August 28 will see Perm host an eco-quest called Clean Games: The Small Rivers’ Cup. That day the quest’s participants will go out to the banks of Perm’s rivers to help make them cleaner and contribute to conserving the environment: they will work in teams speed-collecting plastics, glass, and scrap metal. The eco-quest was organized with SIBUR's support as part of its Formula for Good Deeds social investment program.

The goal of the Clean Games is to collect as much waste as possible within a set timeframe and get maximum points. Each team will be awarded points for each collected bag of recyclables. Additional points will be awarded if the competitors turn in their collected waste already sorted, or if they find unusual artefacts, upload photos of the places they helped clean up to the Clean Games app, or participate in a “photo-hunt”. The competition’s winners will be presented with valuable prizes.

The games are open to anyone (children under 14 need to be accompanied by an adult). One can either set up a team of one’s own with family and friends, choose to deal with the waste alone, or join an existing team.

The Small Rivers’ Cup will be held in Perm at several locations concurrently (one can choose the area that is the most convenient to them):

1.     Nightingales’ Garden, 2 B Patrice Lumumba St.

2.     Danilikha: Chistye Vody, 2 Ovchinnikova St.

3.     Serebryanskiy Park, 21 Motorostroiteley St.

4.     Mulyanka, 9 2nd Mulyanskaya St.

5.     Zelenka, 33 Lva Shatrova St.

The event will launch on August 28 at 11:00 a.m..
A detailed description of the rules of the game, the list of playing teams and their rankings are available at

The number of participants at each game location is limited. One can apply on behalf of their team at https://forms.gle/kXZmb9rVQN8oaiq99

Since 2020, the Clean Games have been conducted with the epidemiological threats in mind: the use of protective masks is mandatory, participants are required to use hand sanitizers and maintain a safe distance from each other. Teams’ starting times are spread over a time line.

Only participants in possession of a certificate of COVID-19 vaccination, those who have had the disease in the preceding six months, or those with a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours of the game’s starting time will be allowed to participate.

The Clean Games are organized by Perm’s Nature Conservation Society with the support of Teploenergo’s regional operator and the Perm Youth Center acting as the games’ information partner.
