Tobolsk's sVOI Veshchi project has come to an end

3 october 2023

sVOI Veshchi, the project implemented by Tobolsk's regional branch of the All-Russian Association of the Handicapped (VOI) with the support of SIBUR's social investment program, The Formula for Good Deeds, has culminated in a truly festive celebration featuring live music, dancing, refreshments, and an auction.
The Moya Territoriya space was chosen as the venue for an exhibition of arts and crafts items hand-made by the project's participants, including pieces of jewelry, pottery, decorated shopping bags, textile rugs, and a lot more.
The project's participants that numbered more than 50 children and adults could be easily identified by their denim aprons carrying the sVOI Veshchi logo.

Alexey Vakulik, a leading specialist with ZapSibNeftekhim LLC's Department Of Government Relations and Socio-Economic Projects:
Creativity plays a major role in shaping the character of any individual. Thanks to this project, its participants were offered a chance to showcase their talents and their individuality, to express themselves. I am convinced that by joining forces we have gifted them a wealth of new emotions and opportunities.
The festival was attended by representatives of the city's administration, SIBUR, members of the business community, local activists, and volunteers. They took an active part in the auction selling the items produced in the course of the project. The auction saw a great deal of intense bidding for the most sought-after items with the starting price going up as high as 5-fold!

Natalya Varavko, Chairperson of Tobolsk’s regional branch of the All-Russian Association of the Handicapped (VOI):
We have managed to succeed in achieving the ultimate goal of the project, which was to ensure that our project's participants become motivated to acquire handicraft skills so that they could later apply these skills in their daily lives. They can now pursue a craft of their choosing and sell their products. The auction has demonstrated that items of jewelry, pottery, and other articles are in high demand. Lastly, I would like to express my gratitude to SIBUR for its financial support of this project.
