April 22, 2024, Svobodny, Amur Oblast. Amur Oblast has held its fourth <i>Leadership Code</i> business forum with support from SIBUR. The forum brought together both experienced and novice entrepreneurs from Blagoveshchensk and Svobodny to help them find solutions to the most pressing issues faced by the local business community. The forum’s participants attended lectures and workshops on business psychology, marketing and social media management (SMM) to learn about available effective tools that could help them launch and develop further their business projects.
</p>
<p>
One of the forum’s most hotly debated topic was that of Beyond Taylor, a unique management system that is being implemented and developed by the VkusVill chain. Their experience of applying an entrepreneurial approach within a large business whipped up quite a response and a great deal of interest from the business community. Such crucial concepts as trust, unconditional value of one’s customer, and employees’ initiative not only help conserve the company's resources, but also allow it to grow and stay competitive in the market. Vera Styoksova’s emotional presentational style did not leave any of the participants unaffected.
</p>
<p>
<b>Vera Styoksova, a speaker of the forum: </b><br>
<i>"In my opinion, what makes this forum really useful to its participants is the fact that it gives the entrepreneurs an opportunity to take a fresh look at their business and get energized to grow in a new and contemporary direction. What is particularly valuable is that entrepreneurs get to meet each other and come to arrangements that give rise to further collaborations. The audience is incredibly engaged and interested, I saw no bored expressions, everyone was very much involved. This is truly gratifying, you don’t usually see so much of that."</i><br>
</p>
<p>
Promoting one’s business on social networks is another topic that interests businessmen a lot. Alyona Guzarevich, a strategist and SMM expert with the PostPost content agency discussed ways to draw attention of new customers through the use of social networks. Her audience learned how to make creative content, catch the attention of one’s audience, set the right tone of communication, and choose hosting platforms which is particularly relevant when one’s resources, especially during the initial phase of launching a business, are scarce and limited. Her workshop provided a review of a case dealing with promoting an existing business using an example of a school for teaching foreign languages.
</p>
<p>
<b>Natalia Shevtsova, entrepreneur, a participant of the forum: </b><br>
<i>"It was good to be able to listen to practitioners presenting real business cases of our entrepreneurs! Our city of Svobodny is very different from other cities in terms of the mix of our target audiences not only in our own region, but also nationwide. It was valuable to see that the speaker understands our concerns and ready to offer practical advice."</i>
</p>
<p>
A lecture by Zhanna Khegai, PhD in Political Science, founder of the educational franchise "Mental Arithmetic ALOHA", received a lot of positive feedback from her audience. She was also asked multiple questions about how to pick and launch a promising franchise-based business in one’s home region. Working together with her workshop’s attendees, Mrs. Khegai offered a detailed review of examples of successful and failed franchising projects.
</p>
<p>
<b>Elena Sultanova, entrepreneur, a participant of the forum: </b><br>
<i>"Many thanks for holding such a great event. Each speaker provided us with useful information. I am still trying to get my head around a lot of what I heard here. It is particularly difficult to resign oneself to the idea of self-government in a business setting. New ideas are starting popping up in my head following the workshops by Vera Styoksova and Alyona Guzarevich. On my first day at work, I will start applying the method of understanding our clients pains. Thanks to Alexander Khariton’s input, I now understand how to do it effectively. I would like to thank Zhanna Khegai for her openness and her honest answer to the question of how one can overcome their fears when scaling up their business. And I thank Evgenia Manakova for her advice as well."</i><br>
</p>
<p>
According to the forum’s participants, the lecture by business coach Alexander Khariton on techniques for confident communication with one’s client, along with a talk about the art of self-presentation given by Evgenia Manakova, and a talk by Oksana Razumeyeva, an entrepreneur from Blagoveshchensk, on her experience in launching coffee shops, were also, found to be very sought-after and useful.<br>
</p>
<p>
<b>Elena Snezhko, head of SIBUR's <i>Formula for Good Deeds</i> social investment program:</b><br>
<i>"SMEs make a direct contribution to the development of a contemporary urban environment. This particularly applies to service-sector businesses, to the creation of new jobs, and to generally elevating the level of comfort for the city’s residents. This is why SIBUR is so committed to systemically supporting the development of entrepreneurship as part of its </i>Formula for Good Deeds<i>
program. What’s gratifying is that the forum is attended not only by owners of "established" businesses, but also by those who are only thinking about starting their own business because practicing one’s entrepreneurial, creative, and proactive ways of thinking is as important as practical business recommendations."</i><br>
</p>
