Some 1,000 employees of SIBUR joined the Back to School Soon campaign

Back to School Soon, an annual charitable campaign aimed at helping donate school supplies to children facing hardships in their lives, has drawn to a close. Thanks to the support of the Formula for Good Deeds social investment program, the campaign brought together around 1,000 employees of SIBUR across 23 different cities in Russia.

Throughout the month of August, the Company's offices and facilities were set up to accept donations of school supplies for children residing in social rehabilitation centers, orphanages and care facilities, children from low-income or large families, and for children with disabilities.

The Corporate Center joined hands with their colleagues from the offices of Petrochemical Transportation Company and SIBUR-PETF to provide support to the mentees of the Nizhegorodsky Charity Foundation and the Regional Center for Aiding Children in Torzhok. By acting together, they managed to collect gifts for 100 children.

The campaign held at SIBUR-Neftekhim and SIBUR-Kstovo was carried out together with the company's trade union organization. Our colleagues collected sets of school supplies for children who are currently under the care of Dzerzhinsk's Social Protection Department and the Youth Policy Department at the Kstovsky District Administration.

Employees of Amur GCC helped the wards of Svobodny's Lada Center for Comprehensive Social Services, as well as the children attending a specialized remedial orphanage. They ended up gathering 27 backpacks containing a full set of stationery items and also delivered school supplies kits to about 20 elementary school students from large families and families facing hardship.

NIPIGAZ offices also gave a hand in helping prepare children for attending school. The company's employees in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Krasnodar, Tyumen and Svobodny raised the needed funds and used the money to buy backpacks, school supplies, and art kits.

Employees of Krasnoyarsk Synthetic Rubber Plant offered their assistance to the children attending the Regional Center for Families and Children by raising funds that were used to buy school supplies and to help volunteers organize a celebratory party for the children starting classes in the new school year.

SiburTyumenGas and Zapsibtransgaz donated backpacks and school supplies kits to the children who are under the care of SIBUR-supported social welfare institutions in 6 cities of SIBUR's presence: Gubkinskiy, Nizhnevartovsk, Noyabrsk, Nyagan, Pyt-Yakh, and Kogalym. Overall, the employees of these companies were able to help 120 children.

Employees of NIOST and Tomskneftekhim helped the wards of the Ordinary Miracle Charitable Foundation get ready for school. Through their joint efforts, they managed to equip the children with kits containing everything they might need to begin their school studies.

Employees of SIBUR-Khimprom in Perm helped collect school supplies for the wards of the Children's Assistance Center's long-term care Unit 2 catering for physically challenged children.

ZapSibNeftekhim's employees collected 65 sets of school supplies for the wards of Tobolsk's Comprehensive Social Care Center. The sets included everything the students needed for school including notebooks, journals, pencil cases, art kits, and much more.

Employees of Voronezhsintezkauchuk collected stationery and art kits for the hard-up children at the Pokrov orphanage in Otradnoe. During their visit with the children, our colleagues also arranged an athletic tournament for the shelter’s wards.

In the Republic of Tatarstan, some 200 employees of Nizhnekamskneftekhim, SIBUR-RT and KazanOrgSintez joined the campaign and worked tirelessly to raise funds and collect school supplies for children from the Pyramidka House of Friendship and Special Development Center for Children with Mental Disabilities and the Miloserdiye social care center.

POLIEF held a fundraiser to help the children attending the Semya center in Ufa's Blagoveschensky District. The children will receive backpacks and school supplies.
