SIBUR was the conference’s and the contest’s general partner in 2015 through 2017. The 27th Mendeleev Conference of Young Researchers was held in Ufa in April 2017. The Conference took stock of the results of the Mendeleev Contest of research papers by chemistry students.

The Conference of Young Researchers

The Conference’s Program included lectures by Russia’s leading chemistry researchers, as well as master classes and training sessions. Conference participants acquired new knowledge in the field of chemistry and obtained up-to-date information about the field’s labor market and career opportunities.

Contest of research papers by chemistry students

The Contest’s selection panel received 205 papers from 56 universities in Russia, Ukraine, and Kazakhstan. All papers were independently reviewed by experts, following which the authors of 108 papers were invited to attend the in-person phase of the contest.

The finalists of the Mendeleev Contest were offered to present their chemistry papers at the conference. They were judged by a jury of experts comprised of professors and faculty of Russian universities and institutes of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
