Film Festivals: How SIBUR is Changing the Regional Events Agenda
A series of film festivals is a large-scale SIBUR initiative that transforms the company's operating cities into true hubs of contemporary Russian culture. Significant Statistics
Since 2022, festivals have been held in Tobolsk ("Alafey
Mountain"), Dzerzhinsk ("Chernorechye Fest"), Kstovo ("Kstokino"), and in 2025, the "Gaidai Fest" film
festival premiered for the first time in the city of Svobodny—the birthplace of the great film director
Leonid Iovich Gaidai.
Through these film festivals, SIBUR manages to introduce the regions not only to interesting film
projects but also to acquaint them with the directors of the projects participating in the competition
programme, as well as organise creative meetings between city residents and film industry figures such
as Irina Muravyova, Natalya Varley, Nonna Grishayeva, Dmitry Kharatyan, and others.
