Nizhnekamskneftekhim Volunteers recognized as Tatarstan’s best eco-association

Nizhnekamskneftekhim’s employees took part in the republic-wide Green Team contest with their volunteering Beautiful rivers, clean banks and Clean banks, clean water bodies projects in Nizhnekamsk. Their Nizhnekamskneftekhim Volunteers team won the top prize as "The best environmental association within a manufacturing facility based in the Republic of Tatarstan".

In 2022, Nizhnekamskneftekhim’s volunteers implemented their good initiatives with the support from SIBUR’s social investment program, the Formula for Good Deeds. Their Beautiful rivers, clean banks and Clean banks, clean water bodies projects have become very popular and were joined by more than 540 caring residents of Nizhnekamsk.

By participating in these contests, we get an opportunity to share our good initiatives and the methods for their implementation! Besides, this obviously benefits the entire Republic of Tatarstan. It's gratifying that our contribution to nurturing the eco-culture of Nizhnekamsk residents and to conserving the environment is being noticed and really appreciated. This motivates us further to implement new projects with grants or other types of support, -Ekaterina Sidorova, an automated control systems engineer and a curator of the Beautiful rivers, clean banks projects, noted.

After these clean-up campaigns you can clearly see the result of your work and the benefits it brings to the world. It gets especially encouraging whenever we’re able to get young children on board, as this is something that is both educational and helps instill love for nature. And it was doubly nice to be able to play outdoor games and take part in various fun runs on the patch we had helped clean up! Plus, everyone really enjoyed the picnic arranged by the organizers, Ruzilya Ismagilova, a leading engineer with the Occupational Safety and Health Department and a participant in the Clean banks, clean water bodies project, commented.

The republic-wide Green Team contest seeks to help identify and encourage environmental associations in the Republic of Tatarstan that actively contribute to the cause of environmental protection and eco-education.
