Voronezh honored grant contest winners

SIBUR's Voronezh-based facility hosted an annual awards ceremony in honor of the winners of the company’s social investment program that had been instituted to help improve living standards in the city and to facilitate the city’s development.

Five regional projects ultimately got picked for implementation during the period between March and December of this year because of their relevance and significance.

These included:

- Lessons in Practical Conservation;
- Voronezh’s Street Basketball League;
- Science Camp for High School Seniors;
- A Space for Educational Programs;
- A Social Test.

The key criteria that were used for picking the winning projects included their relevance and the demand for this kind of project among the citizens.

The program’s winners received their winners’ certificates and memorable gifts from Galina Vorobyeva, Head of Voronezh’s Environmental Protection Department, and Vyacheslav Zolotototrubov, General Manager of Voronezhsintezkauchuk, who warmly welcomed their recipients.

SIBUR has been implementing this program for the eighth year already, and it is gratifying to see that the challenges of the past year have failed to disrupt our plans for introducing enhancements to our social programs. We continue supporting our important social projects that are primarily aimed at making the lives of our residents better and at advancing our cities’ development, Vyacheslav Zolototrubov noted.

On behalf of our mayor, I would like to offer my congratulations to all the winners and urge all of the program’s activists and volunteers to take part in such programs more often for the benefit of the city of Voronezh and its residents, Galina Vorobyeva commented.
