Launch of the Clean Games, a Voronezh-based environmental project

21 april 2022

SIBUR will support Voronezh’s Clean Games, an environmental education project designed to help local residents draw the public‘s attention to environmental challenges by means of a game. The event will take place on April 23.

Its participants will be invited to take part in an exciting tournament focused on cleaning the city’s green areas: the teams of volunteers will search for artifacts, compete in solving ecology-themed riddles and receive points for the right answers, in the hope to be rewarded with special prizes upon the game’s completion. One game can help collect anywhere from 2 to 5 tons of waste. The game’s end-goal is not only to clean up local forests and banks and shores of water bodies, but also to engage local residents in volunteering, environmental education, as well as landscaping and land development.

We can see that people want to help the environment, to be more mindful and responsible, and to lead their children by example. And so, as part of SIBUR's social investment program, the Formula for Good Deeds, we have been supporting eco-initiatives and educational projects, and taking efforts to create the infrastructure necessary to foster environmental culture in the cities where we operate. Among other things, we support projects that help bring together environmental activists, city residents, and employees of our company, Elena Snezhko, Head of the Formula for Good Deeds program, noted.

The first round of Clean Games in Voronezh will be held in the strip of woods located in Zheleznodorozhny District near the Emergency Care Hospital No. 10. Further information about the event, including registration instruction for participating teams can be found at
