Draw&Go art studio to give free painting master classes in Svobodny

Free painting classes will be on offer in the town of Svobodny for all interested parties on September 10 through September 19. They will be given by Draw&Go, a Moscow-based drawing studio whose project recently became a winner in a grant contest conducted under the auspices of SIBUR's Formula for Good Deeds social investment program.

The studio’s artists have put together several master classes for all groups of potential trainees: novices (starting from the age of 6), beginners, and professional artists, spanning 17 areas of graphic arts – from botanical postcards to interior painting on canvas.

Upon completing their training, the studio's guests will be invited to showcase their best artworks in a follow-on contest and exhibition. The winners will get branded drawing boxes designed by Draw&Go’s art director and their graduation pieces will be reproduced and put on display on playbills or banners throughout the city.

The studio’s classes will cover the following areas of graphic art:

• Acrylic painting on round-shaped and miniature canvasses
• Acrylic on miniature canvasses
• Galaxy painting with acrylic on canvas
• Botanical postcards
• Classic botany-themed artwork
• Space-themed artwork
• Space cards
• Painting on sliced wood surfaces
• Pastel
• Postcards made in pastel
• Animalistic postcard
• Interior painting on canvas
• Landscape
• Fashion artwork
• Food-art on round-shaped canvasses
• Watercolor travel cards
• Interior painting on canvas

Willing participants will be able to choose a class to their liking on the studio's website at www.drawandgo-sibur.ru (registration starts on September 1, the website is not up yet).

To ensure that as many participants as possible get to attend the classes, there is a cap on the number of classes one can sign up for: up to three classes per guest. The number of available seats per workshop is up to 13 people. One master class will last 1 to 2 hours. The studio will provide all necessary art supplies.

On September 19, Draw&Go will hold a series of training workshops for local artists in Svobodny. The workshops’ program will include classes on acrylic painting based on Draw&Go 's own proprietary techniques, a brief introduction to the theory and practice of fashion art, a master class on galaxy painting in watercolors, and a theoretical course on the basic principles of interacting with students according to a specially designed guidebook from Draw&Go. To participate, an artist will need to complete an application form on the studio’s website and submit it along with his/her portfolio. Participation is free but the size of the class is limited.

The master classes will be held at the following location: Amur Oblast, Svobodny, Parkovy Per., Bld. 1/1, 2nd Floor. All visitors are required to present a negative PCR test certificate valid for three days, or a QR code indicating their having been fully vaccinated.

Draw&Go’s project has been running in SIBUR's cities of presence since 2019. The opportunity to learn the basics of painting by attending master classes had already been provided to the residents of Noyabrsk and Muravlenko (YNAO) back in 2019, followed by Blagoveshchensk (Republic of Bashkortostan), in 2020, and by Nyagan and Pyt-Yakh, in 2021.
