On New Year's Eve, SIBUR's volunteers paid a visit to patients of the Elizavetinsky Children's Hospice as part of the company-wide Heart to Heart campaign supported by the Formula for Good Deeds program. The volunteers had put together a New Year-themed entertainment program that immersed the young patients into an atmosphere of festivity and magic.

The New Year's fairy tale started with a performance of a magician whose arsenal of magic tricks and illusions was spellbinding. His performance set an amicable and cordial tone for the whole show, as laughter and cheers filled the room with a celebratory spirit.

After the show ended, both the children and the volunteers split up into several teams to start handcrafting various souvenirs and decorations. The children were eager to make stained-glass, wooden and paper toys that were to become a nice addition to the festive Christmas tree decorations.

The kids were equally excited about taking part in a master class on crafting small Christmas trees made of paper. Under the watchful eyes of the visiting volunteers, the little patients made decorations and key chains out of quick-setting resin.

One of the most poignant parts of the event came when the children and their guests started constructing an improvised Christmas tree using paper cutouts of the participants' palmprint outlines. The workshop was not just a creative exercise, it also served to help build an emotional bond that made the children feel that they were not alone, but instead surrounded by people who are ready to share the warmth of their hearts with them.

The December visit became 2024's fourth. On earlier occasions, the volunteers had visited the hospice’s patients in MarchJune, and September.

In addition to face-to-face interactions, SIBUR's employees have been helping patients of the Elizavetinsky Children's Hospice by bringing toys and other needed supplies (see the list of needs at this link) and depositing them into special Boxes of Courage that had been set up in the offices of the Corporate Center in Buildings 1 and 3, as well as in in the elevator hall area of the Lotte Business Center on the 3rd floor. Over the the course of the year, more than a hundred toys have been collected and delivered to their new owners.

Those of the employees who wanted to help but did not have the time to do it in person were able to donate money to enable centralized purchase of the needed items through the campaign’s supervisor Larisa Bondar by transferring funds to 2200 7001 2463 6043 (Tinkoff Bank, Larisa Mikhailovna B.). At the time of making the transfer, they needed to make sure to include a note saying “Daryu dobro”, and their surname. Thanks to the donations we managed to provide the hospice with additional medical equipment and arrange for a delivery of 300 jars of baby food and medicines.

Please be reminded that anyone can share the warmth of their heart with the charges of the Elizavetinsky Children's Hospice regardless of the schedule of visits to the hospice by contributing children’s toys or other necessary supplies (see the list at this link) or by donating money to enable centralized purchase of the necessities.
