“Eight years after its launch, the Art Formula is an indispensable feature of Tobolsk’s cultural scene. A pinnacle of this creative synergy, Ekaterina Tikhomirova’s artwork now adorns the façade of a residential building at 47 2nd Severnaya Street, turning this block of flats into a major-scale art piece that has spruced up the street and highlighted the city’s uniqueness. St. Petersburg-based artist Sergei Puropen and the RASKRASIMVSYO team executed Tikhomirova’s design, following a week-long process that required roughly 177 cans of paint to ensure the mural’s longevity in addition to its striking beauty.
