The publication contains the memoirs of the Japanese woman Toizumi Yoneko (1912–2009), whose life became connected with Russia and Vladivostok. In 1921, she came to the city, studied Russian at university and retained a special attachment to it for the rest of her life – as a way to understand people and maintain a connection with a place that had become dear to her. The participants analysed various sound details and thought about how sound could be depicted on paper, then drew bright postcards using abstract forms and stamps – each sound turned into a unique picture.
