The You Can Do Anything! project gets its own song

Dzerzhinsk-based band Friends on Wheels has finished composing their new song they dedicated to You Can Do Anything!, an interregional inclusivity project implemented under the auspices of SIBUR's social investment program The Formula for Good Deeds.

Friends on Wheels is a unique rap music band. The band's line-up consists of Alyona Bekisheva and Mikhail Chetvertakov who are both wheelchair users. The band is already well-known far beyond the city limits of their hometown as it has toured multiple Russian cities and several neighboring countries, and has won numerous awards at various music festivals. The band's mission is to help and motivate people and do them good.

The song's message is in tune with the ultimate goal of the You Can Do Anything! project which is that with enough motivation and self-confidence, anyone can achieve anything they want. The song's video sequence is based on footage taken during the inclusive project's events held in 2022 and 2023.

“The idea for the song came to Alyona and Mikhail last year, when they performed their Fight to the End song at SIBUR's Volunteering Forum. We liked their emotional performance so much that we offered them to make a dedicated video titled “You Can Do Anything!” to serve as an intro theme for motivational meetings to be held in the regions where we have a presence. We chose to use the footage from the project's past events to illustrate how many talents people with disabilities have and to show their desire to live a fulfilling life. I'd like to thank the Friends on Wheels’ band members for this creative add-on to our joint inclusivity project!”.

SIBUR's creative partnership with Friends on Wheels is not coincidental. Mikhail Chetvertakov, one of the band’s members, has been a long-standing partner of the Formula for Good Deeds program, having successfully implementing multiple grant projects and interregional initiatives. Mikhail was behind the initiative to launch the You Can Do Anything! inclusivity project back in 2022.

“Everything seems to have come together in this song. Our You Can Do Anything! project is about motivation and the limitless potential of people. Our band's songs and music are, too, a story about motivation and a positive outlook on life. This time around, the process of recording the song at the studio proved to be a challenge, we just couldn't seem to be able to get together. We haven't released new songs in a while, so we want to make a splash with this new You Can Do Anything! track. We think we can make it happen. We hope that the song will have what it takes to inspire all people, regardless of their individual traits or impediments!”.
