Rails Center for Contemporary Culture will provide free training to creative leaders

14 march 2023

Residents of the cities where the Formula for Good Deeds program is being implemented will be able to enroll in the RAILS x SIBUR project school to attend a free intensive course on managing sociocultural projects. As part of their training at the school, the students will be taught how to create and develop projects that can have a social impact and will be provided with practical tools for developing meaningful initiatives in their cities. This project is being implemented by the Rails Center for Contemporary Culture with the support of SIBUR's social investment program, the Formula for Good Deeds.

The training course’s initial stage will feature an onsite intensive class that is scheduled to take place on May 6 through May 9 in Tver and will be comprised of a series of workshops. As part of their studies, the students will learn about the principles of building communities around sociocultural projects, how to make projects like that self-sustaining, and the tools for promoting them. After completing this offline intensive class, the school's experts will be mentoring their students' projects for the next six months. Five of the class’s most active participants will go on a trip to the country’s outlying regions in order to become familiar with successful local practices. Cost of travel and accommodation in Tver and in other cities within the framework of the project school’s curriculum will be covered by the organizers.

The training offered by the RAILS x SIBUR school will be available to authors of sociocultural projects in Dzerzhinsk, Kstovo, Blagoveshchensk (Bashkortostan), Svobodny, Tobolsk, Nizhnevartovsk, Pyt-Yakh, and Nyagan after successfully going through a competitive selection process. The best 15 of them will qualify to receive the training put on by the project school.

Applications for taking part in the selection will be accepted through March 31, 2023. Applicants are required to complete an application form on
the website. The link will also take you to the school’s curriculum, the list of trainers, and to the description of cases that will be reviewed during the class.
