We at SIBUR believe that it is important to support initiatives that help create a space for mutual trust and professional growth where new ideas get generated and a supportive community takes shape."</i><br> <br> The project’s Nizhny Novgorod workshop’s curriculum amalgamated theoretical classes and hands-on workshops on art-based techniques that can be used in social work, introducing participants to the principles of creating a trauma-aware environment and prompting them to discuss approaches to counseling families in crisis, as well as to take part in art therapy sessions for the sake of personal recovery and resource renewal through creativity.</span> </p> <p> <span style="color: windowtext;"> The classes were taught by experts in psychology and art therapy: <b>Olga Lipnitskaya</b>, a Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Social Psychology, Academic Director of the <i>SOS Children's Villages Russian Committee</i>; and<b> Olga Korshunova</b>, Head of Educational Projects and Sociocultural Communications Programs at Academia – SOS, an art therapist and art historian.</span> </p> <p> <span style="color: windowtext;">The project paid particular attention to supporting preschool teachers who were invited to attend a dedicated one-day workshop focusing on preventing emotional burnout and strengthening one’s resilience.
