A second campaign implemented as part of a volunteering project titled Istanbul Eco-Trek initiated by an employee of SIBUR Customer Service Center Anna Yemelyanova was held in late March with the support of SIBUR's Formula for Good Deeds social investment program. The campaign brought together volunteers from the Corporate Center, employees of SIBUR International Istanbul, as well as eco-activists representing the Zdesvse.com portal.

Thanks to the participants' concerted efforts, they were able to clean up the beach of the Turkish island of Kınalıada from waste that had accumulated there over the winter. The waste was later transferred for further processing to the Istaç enterprise. More information about the recycler is available here. After the cleanup, Evgenia Dunayeva, a professional stretching coach, conducted a stretching session for the campaign's participants with a focus on taking care of the environment and of our own bodies.

Turkiye's eco-activists have been carrying out similar campaigns for five years already. However, this year the scale of the event and the geography of its participants have expanded dramatically. The eco-trek has become not only an emblem of caring for the environment, but also a platform for sharing experience and knowledge about the importance of proper waste disposal and recycling. Zdesvse.com portal's representatives Alla Yetishen and Anastasia Kozlova expressed their special appreciation to SIBUR and its employees for their support and invitation to join this project.

Filipp Zuev, chief expert with SIBUR's Customer Service Center, participant of the Istanbul Eco-Trek volunteering project:
“It's great that SIBUR has been advancing and supporting its employees’ volunteering. By participating in an eco-trek one can contribute to helping preserve the balance in nature, as events like these teach us to be 'eco-responsible' in our daily lives. Moreover, as local eco-activists have been pointing out, it serves as a kind of therapy, which allows us to put aside our everyday worries and take a concerted effort to make our world a little better!".
