More than 380 applications have been entered in the Formula for Good Deeds’ contests

28 october 2021

SIBUR has stopped accepting applications for its grant contest and the contest of interregional projects conducted within the framework of its social investment program, the Formula for Good Deeds, effective for all cities of its presence, except for Nizhnekamsk where the deadline for submitting applications was extended until November 20.

The grant contest received 324 applications from 14 cities where the company conducts its operations. As the year before, Tobolsk was ahead of other cites with most applications, a total of 62. Culture emerged as the most popular area of focus among submitted applications (92 entries).

A total of 64 applications have been entered in the contest of interregional projects, of which 29 are focusing on Culture with 11 more on Education and Science.

We can see that at this time of general instability the program has been playing a special role in supporting social and public welfare initiatives in the regions where the company is present. Many organizations and institutions have managed to adapt their projects to what’s currently relevant and carry on with their efforts. By supporting socially significant projects, we empower local communities’ activists and recognized federal-level partners to keep implementing their initiatives despite the circumstances, Elena Snezhko, Chief Expert for Investment Support and Social Policy, noted.

All applications that have been submitted to date are currently being processed and reviewed. Beginning on November 1, the contest’s jury will begin rating the competing entries, and the contests’ results will be announced by the end of 2021.

The Formula for Good Deeds, SIBUR's social investment program, has been under implementation since February 2016 in all key cities where the company operates focusing on six key areas: urban development, education and science, sports and healthy living, environmental protection, culture, and volunteering. SIBUR’s corporate volunteering program is another constituent part of the Formula for Good Deeds.

In 2016-2021, more than 780 projects across seventeen cities emerged as grant contests’ winners resulting in more than 130 interregional projects having been implemented together with such partners as the State Theater of Nations, Territoriya Festival and School, VTB United League, Foundation for the Support of Sports and Law Enforcement, the Smart Moscow project, etc. All in all, more than 6,000 events involving more than 230,000 participants have been conducted as part of the program.
