The Creative Resident's Club has opened its doors to the residents of Nizhnevartovsk

29 september 2023

On September 26, 2023, the Creative Resident's Club housed by Children's Library No. 3 opened its doors to the residents of Nizhnevartovsk. The club is an educational and awareness project that offers city residents an opportunity to acquire media skills and learn to create content for various media platforms on their own. The project is being implemented with the support of SIBUR's social investment program, The Formula for Good Deeds.

The attendees of the opening ceremony learned about the opportunities that open to them thanks to the project, in addition to taking part in master classes and lectures given by subject matter experts on the following topics:

  • "What’s a podcast?" by Alexander Kozlov, producer and host of the Enthusiast of the Urals podcast;
  • "How to create exciting content on social media" by Edgar Mavlikeev, an SMM and digital expert;
  • "How to develop a local media project that is useful for local residents" by Mansur Akhmetshin, coordinator of the Creative Resident’s Club project.

Members of Nizhnevartovsk's Creative Resident's Club will have access to online courses covering three areas: launching podcasts, video production and media projects. In addition, they can book equipment and premises for filming video content free of charge. In October, the participants will be able to attend a hands-on module to learn how to make their own videos or podcasts under the tutelage of seasoned experts. Vadim Akhmetov, student at Nizhnevartovsk State University:
I really enjoyed listening to the experts' lectures; my fellow classmates and I have already started taking online courses and are looking forward to the hands-on phase so we can take part in the real filming process.
