Nizhnekamsk’s Baza Center for Creative Industries became the venue for a charitable event titled Mom's Amazing Day Off that brought together 50 mothers including mothers of large families and those raising children with special needs. The event was organized by the non-profit organization Women of Nizhnekamsk with the support of SIBUR's Formula for Good Deeds social investment program.

The participants basked in creativity by molding pottery cups of their own design and creating floral sketches on pieces of paper. Many of the participants had not had much experience handling brushes and modeling sticks as daily routines rarely leave them enough time for themselves or their hobbies. Artist Tatyana Romanova helped the mothers unlock their hidden talents and produce striking designs on canvas.

Anastasia Smirnova, government relations manager at Nizhnekamskneftekhim:
"The campaign’s program gets updated annually. We try to make this day as diverse and eventful as possible. Mom's Amazing Day Off has become our city’s good tradition as it is being held here for the fourth year thanks to our cooperation with SIBUR.”

Natalya Generalova, chair of the Women of Nizhnekamsk non-profit organization:
"We have been doing this together with SIBUR for the fourth year in a row. Our mothers really look forward to it, asking us in advance about the event’s scheduled dates."

After the master class, all guests were invited to join a celebration held at Baza’s “cheese casino”. It included tasting of various cheese varieties, quizzes and gifts. But the evening’s highlight, of course, was not entertainment per se, but the opportunity to recharge and make new friends.

Svetlana Volovikova, a participant of the event:
"I made some new friends, we exchanged our contact detail and we will be staying in touch. We got distracted from our routine, rested and played a bit, got recharged. I am now full of energy that will last me a long time."

Their self-designed cup and drawings will be reminding these mothers of their wonderful day off in March.

Elza Siraeva, a participant of the event:
"We got reminded that we are women after all, that we can draw, play, have fun, enjoy ourselves. In those moments we were oblivious to our arduous routines, whatever they may be for everyone one of us. I am very happy to be here today. Thank you very much!"

The evening’s finale was especially heartwarming: each participant was presented with a bouquet of tulips and invited to join a celebratory tea party. The mom’s cups that they designed and handcrafted on their own, will now serve as a reminder of that festive day’s warmth.

Anastasia Tokayeva, a participant of the event:
"This was the first time I got out of my house on my own. Whenever I set off to go anywhere, I am always with my kids, and they always need attention. But here today everything was very different! It's very cozy, so wonderful! The tea was delicious. I just liked everything!"

The celebration has once again confirmed that just a few short hours dedicated to oneself can turn into a source of enjoyment and inspiration for those who share their love every day.
