The children's fairy tale, in the Komissarzhevskaya Theatre's version, has a distinctly non-childish subtext. Although the target audience is not limited by age here. Pinocchio (and with him the audience) learns what genre is, how comedy differs from tragedy, and even what abstractionism is. Here, the tricksters – the cat Basilio and the fox Alice – appear as film producers promising mountains of gold. However, in this story with its originally Italian roots, the ending has been changed: everyone gathers in Carlo's closet and cooks onion soup. And not just cooks it, but celebrates it together with the audience. </p> <p style="color: #0f1115;"> For five-year-old Veronika Mikhailova, this was her first trip to the theatre.
