Yuri Arestenko, ECOLessons and ECObottle projects, Krasnodar:
“The ECOlessons and ECObottle projects that are being implemented with the support of the Formula for Good Deeds social investment program are focused on promoting environmental education and fostering a responsible attitude towards our environment. The state of our ecology is not a problem of tomorrow, but a challenge we are confronted with today. We see how the world around us is changing as consumption and production expand. It is our call to decide what kind of world the next generation will inherit from us.

At our ECOLessons, we will be telling students at several schools about how simple daily habits can help reduce their environmental footprint and why even slightest changes in one's behavior count. Perhaps for some of the attendees this knowledge will serve as the basis for homing in on the choice of their future occupation.

ECObottle is an initiative intended to promote collection of plastic bottles for further recycling. The project targets such audience as young people and students. The key message that we want to get across to the younger generation through this project is the understanding of the importance of waste sorting and separate waste collection for preserving our environment.

Being a volunteer is a state of mind, and so anyone who has the desire to start helping today can easily find a way to put his or her kindness to good use, the key thing is to not feel indifferent. If you feel like taking the first step towards becoming a volunteer, I am always ready to share my experience and to help you find your way to starting doing good deeds."

Anna Solovieva, the Immortalized Memory for the Heroes of the Great Patriotic War project, Krasnodar:
“The project ‘Immortalized Memory of the Heroes of the Great Patriotic War’ seeks to take care of the graves of fallen heroes of the war interred at Krasnodar’s Vsesvyatskoye cemetery. This is more than just a campaign to us: it's a tradition, it’s our contribution to preserving our historical memory. We intend to put in order and clean up war veterans’ graves as a tribute to the heroes' heroic deeds. The project brings together people of different generations thereby establishing a link between the past and the present while reinforcing our patriotic values.

We believe that memory is not just about words, but about real action. We regularly announce the dates of our upcoming activities and will definitely invite all those who wish to take part in our volunteering events that will be taking place in the run-up to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Don't be afraid to do good - it will definitely come around!”

Oksana Bochenina, the Pushing Boundaries project, Krasnodar:
“Our project consists of a series of events aimed at helping with the socialization of the beneficiaries of the Inva-Studio at Elizavetinskaya that has been helping people with disabilities for over 15 years. Among the studio’s attendees are both children and adults who miss interacting with other people or lack opportunities for development and for being creative.

We will be holding master classes, creativity classes, and clean-up days to beautify our surroundings. These gatherings will help the studio's beneficiaries feel a part of their community, discover their talents or just enjoy socializing with others. Our campaigns are open to all: you can teach a class, help organize an event, or simply pay attention to those who need that so desperately. Doing good is easy, the most important thing is to get started!”.

Natalia Shumova, the Run and Help! project, Krasnodar:
“We chose to combine our love of running, care for nature and desire to help children. Our project came into being thanks to our running enthusiast Olga Pyatkova, and together with us it is being supported by our colleagues Anna Chernyavskaya and Nelya Legayeva.

Our project consists of several charitable relay races, which will additionally feature fundraising activities to support an orphanage and waste collection efforts, as well as creative master classes for the youngest participants, i.e. children of our colleagues. This is not just a sporting event, but an opportunity to do something useful for the world around us and to help others.

We believe that kind deeds help unite generations, and whenever children get involved in them, this makes them particularly valuable. Anyone can join us, as you can do good even while jogging!”.

Oksana Grishko, the Hobbies Without Borders project, Tyumen:
“Our Hobbies Without Borders project seeks to support our elderly through creativity. We organize master classes for beneficiaries of Tyumen's Regional Center for Active Longevity, Gerontology and Rehabilitation. These are more than just classes, they are an opportunity to express oneself, to feel supported, to learn new things, and to make new friends.

Our first master class was held as part of the “55+!” forum, and it made us realize how important it is for the elderly to interact with others through creativity. We now make such gatherings a regular occurrence, and every month we organize new classes that are timed to coincide with various holidays and seasons.

Anyone can become a volunteer to help organize or teach a master class, or just to interact with the participants. After all, even a minor good deed can be the beginning of something bigger!”
