The project seeks to provide an enabling infrastructure for young parents pursuing a higher education degree. Under this arrangement, universities provide facilities to house baby care rooms where parents can nurse and take good care of their babies in a calm and quiet setting as well as temporarily stow away baby care essentials while getting on with their studies.

2023

As part of the project, Perm State National Research University and Tomsk Polytechnic University opened their first on-site baby care rooms. Each of the two rooms features a baby changing station, a feeding area, a play area, and an area for holding various master classes.

In addition to helping set up dedicated baby care areas, the project also features an educational program for volunteers who undergo preliminary training in caring for preschool-age children, and, upon successfully completing the class, are offered to put their theoretical knowledge to practice by working as babysitters for children under 3 years of age or as tutors conducting workshops for children aged 3 and above. In 2023, 30 volunteers successfully completed their training.

On top of that, the project helped produce a video course consisting of 10 lectures covering such topics as managing one’s family budget, raising a child, benefits and opportunities available to a young family, as well as a table-top card game with the objective of building one's own happy family. A total of 100 game sets were manufactured as part of the project.
