The SIBUR Chess School offers 2 months’ worth of online chess lessons taught by the best coaches from the Russian Chess School. Based on the outcomes of their training and performance at chess tournaments, the best students are rewarded with a 7-day-long stay at the #SIBURCAMP summer camp housed at the More Sporta sports base in Nizhegorodskaya Oblast.

The project’s geography includes Nizhegorodskaya, Amur, Voronezh, Tyumen, and Tomsk Oblasts, the Republics of Tatarstan and Bashkortostan, Perm Krai, Khanty-Mansi and Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrugs.  

The project consists of the following phases:

• 5 online master classes for children;

• in-depth group-based online training classes taught by an international grandmaster as well as CPD training classes for chess coaches to help them improve their coaching skills;

• 2 online tournaments for advanced and novice junior chess players;

In all, the 24 training classes taught in 2023 by 20 chess coaches were attended by 122 students. Based upon the outcomes of their training and performance at chess tournaments, 12 best chess students were rewarded with a 7-day-long stay at the #SIBURCAMP summer camp housed at the More Sporta sports base in Nizhegorodskaya Oblast.  As part of their camp session, the attendees were given a master class by Anton Kuzin, an International Chess Master and founder of the Russian Chess School.
