Tobolsk hosted a meeting for city activists involved in social design

30 september 2022

On September 30, Tobolsk’s Moya Territoriya Multicenter hosted a meeting for city activists and leaders of non-profit organizations who are either already participating in or only plan to file an application to a grant contest under SIBUR's Formula for Good Deeds social investment program.

Meetings such as these are not only useful for gaining new knowledge, but also for exchanging the practices that are either already being implemented in Tobolsk or those that are only scheduled to be implemented. In the course of just one hour and a half we were able to examine the city' social landscape and brainstorm some ideas for further development of the Formula for Good Deeds program in Tobolsk. I would like to thank all participants for their honest opinions and interested dialogue, Elena Belskaya, Head of Department for Government Relations and Social and Economic Projects at ZapSibNeftekhim LLC, noted.

At the meeting, coordinators of the Formula for Good Deeds program examined in detail some of the key aspects of preparing and implementing a social project, discussed nuances of submitting an application to the Formula for Good Deeds program’s grant contest and answered numerous questions coming from the participants. In total, the meeting attracted 55 residents of Tobolsk.

It is essential that leaders of the non-profit organizations that we work with be able to learn how to write high-quality grant applications. At the meeting, we were able to address all the questions about writing applications that the participants had for us. I am very glad that we have managed to have one-on-one discussions with many leaders of Tobolsk non-profit organizations about their ideas and figure out what they need to focus on as they develop their projects in the future, Olga Bezuglykh, head of the Tobolsk Resource Center for the Support of Socially-Oriented Non-Profit Organizations, noted.

Being a participant of such meetings you always learn something new, start looking at familiar things in a new way, and fill some gaps. To me personally, this is a platform for my further development and improvement. Our organization takes part in many different grant competitions, so the theme of the meeting is extremely relevant, Alexander Obukhov, a meeting participant, head of Initiative, Tyumen’s regional non-profit organization for supporting youth initiatives, commented.
