Development of Inclusive Blogging and Digital Skills for Inclusive Teams and Activists with Disabilities
"City of Opportunities" is a federal project implemented since 2022 with the support of SIBUR's "Formula for Good Deeds" social investment programme. The project is aimed at developing inclusive blogging and supporting people with and without disabilities in the media sphere. Participants receive training, mentorship, and tools for creating and promoting content.

Our Mission is to support active and talented people with disabilities, as well as non-profit organisations and volunteer communities working on issues of social inclusion in Russian regions.
More About the Project and Its Uniqueness:
The project combines training, practice, and participant support in the field of inclusive blogging: from basic skills to creating and promoting one's own content. Participants work with real cases, receive mentorship, and join a professional community.
A key feature of the project is its comprehensive inclusive approach. People with and without disabilities participate together in training and communication, forming a unified, barrier-free media space. The programme takes into account the different needs of participants and adapts tools and formats to various forms of disability.
The project is oriented towards practical outcomes: regular publication of content, participation in competitions, winning prizes for the highest quality content, the opportunity to travel to a Moscow blog tour, as well as building a portfolio and developing personal media channels, enabling participants to apply their acquired skills in professional activities.
Digital technologies, including neural networks, are used as assistive tools to increase accessibility and effectiveness when working with content.

Through the "Formula for Good Deeds" programme, SIBUR provides organisational, financial, and methodological support for the project, making inclusive blogging training accessible to people with disabilities from various regions of the country.

Finalists of the project traditionally meet with the company's management at a charity dinner.
"City of Opportunities" is a programme for the development of inclusive blogging and digital competencies for people with disabilities. Neural networks and online tools become assistive technologies that level the playing field: helping a blind person "see" an image, a person with motor impairments edit video, and those who find it difficult to formulate thoughts write high-quality texts. The project not only teaches participants how to run a blog but also provides them with digital tools to compete in the open labour market.
