Tomsk’s residents were offered a rare chance to attend a concert titled The White Square put on by the class led by Igor Zolotovitsky and Sergey Zemtsov (Year 4 acting class), and the production of A Midsummer Night's Dream, a play based on the iconic William Shakespeare comedy, directed by Anton Kiselius. After the concert and the show drew to a close, all interested spectators who gathered in the Grand Hall of the Tomsk Drama Theater could take part in a discussion with the actors and professors of the Moscow Art Theater’s Studio School. The theater’s foyer was used as the venue for an exhibition featuring works prepared by the students of the School’s Department of Stage Design and Theater Technology.

As another one of its key elements, the project included a survey of the theater-going audiences in the Tomsk region. Subsequent analysis of the answers given by some 300 spectators to the poll’s questionnaire will help better understand the interests and preferences of theater lovers and to develop new socio-cultural projects while building more effective communication with audiences in the future.
