The Center for Comprehensive Rehabilitation of People with Disabilities was established in March 2003 by the order of Perm Krai’s Governor. The center’s core mission is to implement measures aimed at enabling comprehensive rehabilitation of people with disabilities in order to better prepare them for their integration into society.

The center is a state-run social services institution in charge of implementing a range of measures aimed at facilitating comprehensive (medico-social, socio-domestic, socio-environmental, socio-psychological, psycho-pedagogical, socio-cultural) rehabilitation of people with disabilities, including handicapped children, seeking to get rid of, or to compensate, as far as achievable, for any limitations in the disabled persons’ daily activities, and to help them adapt to living in a society and achieve financial independence and fully integrate themselves into society.

The Center for Comprehensive Rehabilitation of People with Disabilities hosted a set of arts and crafts master classes meant to help provide mothers whose children are being treated at the center with psychological relief. The festive functions were hosted by the departments of medical and social rehabilitation in Perm’s Ordzhonikidzevsky, Kirovsky, Dzerzhinsky, and Industrialny Districts.

While there, each mother could choose an activity to her liking: painting with acrylic paints, painting on an eco-bag, or art therapy. After each master class, all participants were invited to attend a festive tea party, where they could enjoy informal conversations with each other on a variety of different topics. Thanks to the hard work of our photographer, no mother was left without a beautiful photo to remember the evening.
