Tobolsk’s Irtysh Sports Arena hosted a festival of competitive board games as part of the Sport for All volunteering project pioneered by ZapSibNeftekhim’s employees.

A total of 33 registered contestants took part in the tournament. The players competed for three sets of medals in each of the three games of Jakkolo, Shuffleboard, and Culbuto.<br>

Here’s the list of the winners:

Most of the winners had previously taken part in practice sessions taught by volunteers over a period of three months at Tobolsk’s Center for the Implementation of Youth and Prevention Programs, which played a positive role in determining the players’ final standings.<br>

The project was made possible thanks to the efforts of representatives of the Tobolsk Chapter of the All-Russian Association of the Disabled, the Siyanie Non-Profit Youth Association, Tobolsk’s Center for the Implementation of Youth and Prevention Programs, as well as volunteers from ZapSibNeftekhim’s Youth Movement, and Volodya Soldatov Tobolsk Medical College.<br>

These are the games that can be played by people of all ages, genders, or those suffering from different types of disabilities as there is no subdivision into players’ groups or categories. That’s why there were several minors among the winners."</i><br>

At the end of the day, no one left the tournament dispirited or without gifts and souvenirs provided courtesy of SIBUR. All participants of the festival got a gift set of handmade chocolates from chocolatier Olga Egorova, who had previously taken part in other grant-funded volunteering projects including The Chocolate Workshop, The Chocolate Workshop-2 offered as part of the Formula for Good Deeds program.
