Tobolsk hosted an event organized for members of the All-Russian Non-Profit Society of the Disabled

12 march 2021

March saw many cities of SIBUR’s presence hold traditional charity events celebrating the International Women's Day. In Tobolsk, ZapSibNeftekhim, Russia's largest petrochemical complex, distributed gift certificates to mothers of children with disabilities who are members of the Tobolsk Chapter of the All-Russian Non-Profit Society of the Disabled. To make the event’s atmosphere feel even more celebratory, a festive gala evening was laid on.

Many thanks to SIBUR for its attention to families raising special children! The local chapter of the Society currently counts 83 legal guardians of children with disabilities. And thanks to the company's support, all mothers got holiday gifts. Unfortunately, not everyone could attend the party at the cafe as they had no one to babysit their child that night, but those who could come were absolutely delighted! According to them, they had a relaxing time, and, thanks to a challenging game of rebuses and charades, had a chance to “wake up their brain”, get to know each other and even dance some. It certainly felt the world to us, this kind attitude shown by the organizers and their sincere desire to do something nice. For the women who have to spend every day worrying about their children's health and wellbeing, this was a chance to take a break, a chance to feel the center of attention and have some fun. Kudos to the organizers, commented Natalia Varavko, Chairman of the Tobolsk Chapter of the All-Russian Non-Profit Society of the Disabled.

This is not the first time ZapSibNeftekhim has supported the Tobolsk Chapter of the All-Russian Non-Profit Society of the Disabled. Ahead of the New Year celebrations, the company helped put up a decorated Christmas tree for the members of the non-profit, and its employees gave out presents to the children, helping to fulfil their coveted dreams.

We are so delighted that we have this great opportunity to help residents of our city, and we are always happy to do so
, – says Elena Belskaya, Head of ZapSibNeftekhim’s Government Relations Department. Our cooperation with the All-Russian Society of the Disabled goes back many years. This goes well beyond us giving presents to children and their parents on various holidays. Several years ago, we completed an extensive renovation of the local chapter’s headquarters as part of the Formula for Good Deeds social investment program and built an easy-to-use staircase and a ramp for people with disabilities in the entrance area. We intend to continue our cooperation with this organization and many of our other partners in 2021.
