From 25 to 27 May, an ecological school was held in Dzerzhinsk at the Ecological and Biological Centre, within which experts from the "Living Symbols of SIBUR" project conducted eco-lessons called "Protected Landmarks". The classes took place with the support of SIBUR's "Formula for Good Deeds" social investment programme, which celebrates its tenth anniversary this year.

During their training at the eco-school, participants became acquainted with the natural features, flora and fauna of their native region, with special attention paid to Red Data Book plants and animals. Instead of lectures, the children took part in brainstorming sessions, field practices, photo and video hunting in the fresh air, and also studied the nature around them through other interactive formats. At the end of each day, the children presented their newly acquired knowledge to each other.

The main outcome of the three-day training at the ecological school was an original quest called "Ecological Odyssey", which the participants developed together with their teachers and mentors. They devised interactive tasks for 12 themed stations, designed cards and prepared prize stickers. The most interesting moment was the testing of the quest: the teachers divided into teams and took part in all the stations, which were developed and run by the children. The children worked through their stages with great enthusiasm, filling them with educational information.
