[TEXT] => The first volunteer visit of the year by SIBUR employees to the municipal shelter for homeless animals "Nekrasovka" took place in Moscow. The shelter is home to over 2,000 dogs and around 350 cats. The event was held as part of the company-wide campaign "Big Help for Little Friends", implemented with the support of SIBUR's "Formula for Good Deeds" social investment programme.
Fifteen corporate volunteers took part in the campaign, including employees of SIBUR LLC, Novye Resursy LLC, and Nizhnekamsk Petrochemical Company LLC. The employees helped walk dogs in three sectors of the shelter and also brought essential gifts and food for the animals.
Despite challenging weather conditions—cold and freezing rain—the volunteers spent over three hours at the shelter. They were kept warm not only by movement and warm clothing but also by the emotional warmth from interacting with the animals. Notably, most of the participants were regular volunteers of the programme who consistently find time to support the residents of "Nekrasovka".
Valeria Remizova, Expert at SIBUR LLC, regular volunteer:
"I've been regularly going to 'Nekrasovka' since the spring of 2022, and in all this time, I've never once questioned whether to go or not. Of course, go! Such trips are valuable not only, and not so much, for the dogs, but for ourselves: seeing their joy, their unconditional love, their desire to please and be chosen, helping the timid ones take their first tentative steps towards a human—it always touches you deeply. Join us on future visits—they will surely become something truly special for you! Perhaps even your first meeting with a new member of your family."
