18 february 2021

A project by Drawing Studio Draw&Go became a winner of the contest held annually by the Formula for Good Deeds, SIBUR's social investment program. The studio's team will be travelling to Pyt-Yakh and Nyagan, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug-Yugra, where they will hold free master classes for all who would wish to attend them. The classes in Pyt-Yakh will be taking place on March 5 through March 14, and the ones in Nyagan will be given on March 19 through March 28.

The studio’s artists will be giving public master classes focusing on several different subjects to all interested persons, including beginners, amateurs and professional artists.

Sergey Vinokhodov, Advisor to the General Director of JSC SiburTyumenGaz: We note that northern cities’ residents are willing to make the culture and entertainment scene in their communities more interesting and exciting and to generally contribute to the development of their cities. Last year, about 600 people attended the master classes and we got a lot of positive reviews.

Aigul Khannanova, a teacher at the Arts Department of the Blagoveshchensk School of Art (Republic of Bashkortostan): Class material is presented in a very accessible and captivating way helping to attract both beginners and professionals alike. What a great job! I'd like to express my sincere gratitude to the organizers and instructors for their superb master classes, creative ambience and inspiration!

Once the series of master classes is over, there will be an exhibition and a contest of the best works of art made by the studio's guests. The winners will be awarded with branded drawing boxes designed by Draw&Go’s art director, and their artworks will be put on display throughout the city on posters or banners.

Classes will be held over a period of 10 days and will cover the following subjects:

  • Acrylic painting on round-shaped and miniature canvasses
  • Galaxy painting with acrylic on canvas
  • Classic botany-themed illustrations
  • Painting on sliced wood surfaces – and a lot more! A detailed list of topics is available at https://drawandgo-sibur.ru

Each master class will last 1 to 2 hours.

Potential attendees will be able to pick the classes of their choosing on the project's website. To ensure that these classes are attended by as wide a range of guests as possible, there is a limit of five classes per attendee. The studio will be providing all necessary art supplies.

Class size is limited to 15 people per class. Registration for classes in Pyt-Yakh starts on February 22, and in Nyagan it will be open on March 10, 2021.

In addition, Draw&Go will hold a series of training workshops for local artists.
