SIBUR' s employees helped more than 1,500 children and the elderly make their New Year's wishes come true

On the eve of the New Year of 2022, SIBUR tallied up the results of its annual "Get to be a Santa Claus!" charity campaign supported by the Formula for Good Deeds social investment program. This charitable initiative designed to fulfill the New Year wishes of people in need was implemented across the company's offices and facilities in more than 25 Russian and foreign cities.

This year, the charity event took on two formats. One could become SIBUR's Santa Claus by traditionally helping to fulfill children's wishes or by helping financially to organize a New Year's dinner party for lone senior citizens.

New Year's gifts collection points for children were set up at 17 enterprises, including: "Amur Gas Chemical Complex", "BIAXPLEN", "Voronezhsintezkauchuk", "ZapSibNeftekhim", "Kazanorgsintez", "Krasnoyarsk Synthetic Rubber Plant", "Petrochemical Transport Company", "Nizhnekamskneftekhim", "NIPIGAZ", "POLIEF", "RusVinyl", "SIBUR", "SIBUR-Kstovo", "Sibur-PETF", "SiburTyumenGaz", "Sibur-Chimprom", and "Tomskneftekhim". At some of the sites, the campaign was carried out with active participation of primary trade union organizations of SIBUR' s enterprises.

Distribution of gifts is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2021, and, in the case of families with children living in remote areas, this will be done by Christmas of 2022.

In keeping with tradition, this year the foundation will deliver gifts to the most remote corners of our vast Tver region. Many parents do not have an opportunity to travel to the nearest towns and make their children happy with modern toys. But together we helped to make their dreams come true! Gifts will also be given to children whose families recently suffered from a fire and overnight lost all their property, including toys. Now their parents will be able to invest in building a new home and the kids will be able to celebrate the New Year properly! Anastasia Blinova, corporate fundraiser for the Constanta Charitable Foundation, commented.

Additionally, employees of the company were able to help organize New Year's dinner parties for the elderly thanks to a charity fundraiser that was arranged for this purpose. The new format made it possible to join everybody’s efforts, including those of the employees of Sibur International's foreign offices, and collect sweet gifts for 378 charges of the "Old Age is a Joy" Foundation in the regions where SIBUR operates: in Voronezh, Kursk, Leningrad, Moscow, Nizegorodskaya, Omsk and Tver Oblasts.

In every good deed it is important to have like-minded people, helpers, and reliable partners around. We are eternally grateful to the SIBUR team for their caring and active response to the needs of the "Old Age is Joy" Foundation. Thanks to you, the elderly people living in nursing homes and institutions could have a real festive meal, a family dinner complete with tangerines and caviar sandwiches. Thanks to you, they are able to rustle their candy wrappers and drink tea with sweets. And most importantly, they enter 2022 with the feeling that they are needed, that they are remembered, Elizaveta Oleskina, director of the charity foundation "Old Age is Joy",
