SIBUR’s employees discussed the topic of inclusivity in volunteering projects

SIBUR has held yet another one of its monthly webinars dedicated to the topic of "How to Make One’s Volunteering Project Inclusive?" conducted with the support of the Formula for Good Deeds social investment program. The online meeting was held as part of a series of webinars on corporate volunteering.

The meeting was joined by the employees of Amur GCC, BIAXPLEN, ZapSibNeftekhim, Zapsibtransgas, Kazanorgsintez, Petrochemical Transport Company, Nizhnekamskneftekhim, NIPIGAZ, POLIEF, SIBUR, SiburTyumenGaz, Sibur-Kstovo, SIBUR-Neftekhim, Sibur-Chemprom, and Tomskneftekhim. Also in attendance were representatives of inclusive communities from Dzerzhinsk, Nizhnevartovsk, Nyagan, Svobodny, Surgut, Khabarovsk and Khanty-Mansiysk.

At the webinar, guest experts discussed how to make projects inclusive and how to prepare volunteers for implementing campaigns involving children and adults with special needs.

Bogdana Rudneva, head of
Dobry-Yug, a Krasnodar-based charitable organization, discussed the main rules for interacting with people and volunteers with mental conditions, and shared her experience with involving inclusive volunteers.

Mikhail Chetvertakov, chair of
ParaPlan, a non-profit organization of wheelchair users from Dzerzhinsk, discussed when people or volunteers with locomotor disabilities might need help and offered his recommendations on selecting venues for holding events.

The upcoming webinar will focus on the topic of promoting volunteering projects on social media. Guest experts will speak about the nuances of promoting social projects on various platforms and in messengers, and share the basic rules of drafting texts. In addition, the experts will cover the topic of how to communicate with one’s followers and where to seek inspiration for one’s posts. Registration will open on August 10 on the #SIBUR’sVolunteers social network.
