It has been 11 years since SIBUR launched its Get to be a Santa Claus! charitable campaign that takes place in the run-up to the New Year holidays and aims to help make the wishes of children and adults suffering from hardship come true. In keeping with this long established tradition, at the end of December 2024 the company took stock of the results of this campaign, implemented as part of the Formula for Good Deeds social investment program.

This year's campaign was joined by 1,916 employees of SIBUR Group, Noviye Resursy and Petrochemical Transportation Company representing their branches and offices in 22 different cities who made wishes of charges of charitable foundations and social sector organization in their regions of presence come true. At some of these sites, the campaign was actively supported by local trade union organizations and SIBUR's youth councils.

During the month of December, volunteer employees of the Amur GCC, BIAXPLEN, Voronezhsintezkauchuk, ZapSibNeftekhim, Zapsibtransgaz, Kazanorgsintez, Corporate Center, Krasnoyarsk Synthetic Rubber Plant, Neftekhimiya, Petrochemical Transportation Company, Nizhnekamskneftekhim, Novye Resursy, POLIEF, RusVinyl, SIBUR Innovations, SIBUR-Kstovo, SIBUR-Neftekhim, Sibur-PET, SIBUR-RT, Sibur-Khimprom, SiburTyumenGaz, and Tomskneftekhim collected and delivered gifts to more than 2,068 children in a gesture that became a true manifestation of their caring attitude towards those who are in need of support. This year's children's wishes included the customarily expected toys, as well as pictures and mosaics by numbers, bedside lamps, smart watches, and gift certificates from well-known marketplaces, which clearly shows how diverse children's dreams can be.

At one of the offices of the Amur Gas Chemical Complex, the Christmas tree was decorated with letters containing wishes of children from a local corrective orphanage, the Svobodnensky children's home, as well as children from families that are under the patronage of the Lada Comprehensive Social Service Center. During the month of December, the employees would take the notes with the children's wishes off the tree so that they could be materialized. This time around, volunteers had prepared a lively celebration for boys and girls from the corrective orphanage. The children played a game of forfeits, guessed well-known tunes, danced and generally had a lot of good fun interacting with the employees of the Amur GCC. In addition, a master class “Time to Work Miracles” was arranged for the children where they made New Year's souvenirs together with their mentors and volunteers. As the party was drawing to an end, everyone was presented with sweet gifts

As part of the campaign, POLIEF’s employees organized a holiday visit to the Krasnovoskhodsk residential care home. Master classes on making crafts from recycled materials and a captivating interactive fairy tale helped give the children with a lot of happy moments. But the festive program did not end there. Immediately after that, the children immersed themselves in a magical New Year's fairy tale full of vibrant characters and amazing chemistry experiments. The show was both entertaining and educational. The fairy tale also taught the children the lessons of friendship, kindness, and care for the nature.

In keeping with their New Year's Eve traditions, employees of Sibur-PET created a festive celebratory atmosphere for children living under the care of children's social institutions. 2024 saw volunteers help the children of the Ploskosh special residential care home for the first time. In addition to that, they performed a play at the Family Center of the city of Torzhok for the third time.

In the run-up to the New Year's celebrations, volunteers from Nizhnekamskneftekhim helped fulfill an unusual New Year's wish of the residents of the Nizhnekamsk children's home. The staff of the orphanage do their best to help prepare their wards to adapting to their adult and independent lives. Under their tutelage, the children learn to prepare home-cooked meals and arrange low-key parties around a set table. While older children find meals' recipes online, the younger ones take an active role in cooking these meals. The children wanted to celebrate this New Year in a home-like and cozy setting. They wanted to prepare salads, cook dumplings, and bake a pie. This is what volunteers from the company helped them do by having put together celebratory food sets for the cookout.

For the seventh year in a row, employees of ZapSibNeftekhim have been granting wishes of children with disabilities living in Tobolsk. This year, corporate Santa Clauses and Snow Maidens were collecting gifts for the wards of the Tobolsk chapter of the All-Russian Association of the Disabled, the All-Russian Society of the Blind, the All-Russian Society of the Deaf, and the Special Children of Tobolsk Charitable Foundation. The gifts were handed out at two venues: at the Moya Territoriya multicenter and at the offices of the All-Russian Society of the Blind. A real festival filled with riddles, games, songs and even a circle dance around the New Year's tree awaited the children. In their turn, the children impressed Santa Claus with their beautiful costumes while some of the bravest ones had rehearsed and then recited poems for the visitors.
