SIBUR will support 47 volunteering projects proposed by its employees

To mark the Volunteer Day celebrated annually on December 5, SIBUR picked the winners of its 10th Contest of Employees’ Volunteering Projects. 47 volunteer projects selected for implementation in 2023 will receive support from the company’s Formula for Good Deeds social investment program.

The contest received 77 applications put together by employees of SIBUR and NIPIGAZ from 18 different cities. The panel of judges included SIBUR’s own experts in Moscow and the regions where it has a presence, heads of regional non-profits, and members of the Formula for Good Deeds program’s team.

SIBUR’s volunteers will be holding a series of inclusive events for people and children with disabilities. They will create an inclusive travel map, put together creativity classes, conduct master classes on dancing, graffiti, poetry writing and beatboxing, organize eco-lessons and swimming competitions for beginner and basic level contestants.

In two of the cities, the company’s employees will be creating themed coloring books for children, while in others they will hold traditional separate waste collection competitions, refurbish a collection station used for donating clothing items for silver volunteers, build a hedged maze in a park, arrange field trips to shelters for homeless animals, paint the wall in the gymnasium at a social shelter, and perform other activities aimed at enhancing eco-education and improving natural and public spaces.

For the first time this year, this list of winners will include a volunteering project from Nyagan. SiburTyumenGaz employees will install an eco-booth at Nyagan's Sports and Recreation Park, where they will give a supplemental eco-lesson, hold master classes and organize a quiz for children, and will organize a plogging event for the city's residents.

The masterminds of the best implemented projects and the most active volunteers of 2022 and 2023 will be invited to SIBUR's corporate volunteering forum.

On December 20 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Moscow time, the Formula for Good Deeds program’s experts will be holding a webinar for the contest’s winners to explain the process for their further interactions and to offer advice on project implementation and cash grants for 2023.
