Results of the National Council for Corporate Volunteering Meeting in Amur Region: Celebrating Five Years, Launch of Grant Competition and Amur Region Volunteer Forum

On March 22, a meeting of the regional branch of the National Council for Corporate Volunteering (NCCV) in Amur Region took place in Svobodny. The meeting marked the launch of its fifth, anniversary season and presented the activities planned for 2026. The event was supported by SIBUR's "Formula for Good Deeds" social investment programme, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year.

More than 40 representatives of volunteer movements from 24 organisations attended the meeting, coming from Belogorsk, Blagoveshchensk, Svobodny, Tsiolkovsky, Shimanovsk, and Seryshevsky District. Participating organisations included: Amur Gas Chemical Complex, Gazprom Heliy Servis, Gazprom Pererabotka Blagoveshchensk, Gazprom Transgaz Tomsk, Gazpromtrans, Belogorsk Locomotive Depot (Russian Railways), MTS, the Social Fund of Russia Branch for Amur Region, Sberbank, the Svobodnensk Children's Railway named after G.M. Fadeyev, Transneft – Far East, the Federal Service for State Registration, Cadastre and Cartography (Rosreestr) Office for Amur Region, the TsENKI Branch – Vostochny Space Centre, as well as representatives from public and non-profit organisations and budgetary institutions.

Elena Snezhko, Head of SIBUR's "Formula for Good Deeds" Social Investment Programme, Chair of the NCCV Regional Branches in Amur Region and Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug – Yugra, presented the plan of anniversary events for this year. Key activities include:

The 4th Amur Region Volunteer Forum will take place on 6 June 2026 in Blagoveshchensk;
The 2nd Grant Competition for Projects in Corporate Volunteering – "Communities Changing the World";
Holding at least two joint socially significant campaigns under the auspices of the NCCV in Amur Region;
Continuing volunteer assistance to homeless animals through the Svobodny City Public Organisation for Animal Protection "Tvori Dobro";
Monthly city-wide environmental campaigns for separate waste collection;
Engaging corporate volunteers in major city celebrations and festivals;
Advisory and methodological support;
Experience exchange between companies and recognition of volunteer movement activists.

During the meeting, the organisers also announced the 2nd Grant Competition for Projects in Corporate Volunteering in Amur Region – "Communities Changing the World". Authors of the best initiatives will be able to receive up to fifty thousand roubles from SIBUR's "Formula for Good Deeds" social investment programme to implement their volunteer and socially significant projects this year.

The competition regulations will be published on the NCCV in Amur Region page at the link. Applications will be accepted from 24 March to 24 April 2026 on the programme's platform: https://contest.formula-hd.ru/. On Thursday, 2 April, the organisers will hold an educational webinar "How to Prepare a Quality Grant Application". During the online meeting, speakers will explain the competition's terms, share secrets for preparing a successful application, and answer frequently asked questions. "The fifth season of the NCCV in Amur Region and the 10th anniversary of the 'Formula for Good Deeds' programme are symbolic dates that highlight that systematic support for volunteering delivers tangible results. We see the number of participants growing, partnerships between businesses and NGOs strengthening, and volunteer initiatives becoming increasingly ambitious and professional. The launch of the 'Communities Changing the World' grant competition and the upcoming Amur Region Volunteer Forum are excellent opportunities for volunteer teams in the region to gain resources, new knowledge, and recognition. I invite all active participants in corporate volunteering to submit applications, share best practices, and together write the history of good deeds in Amur Region."

Inna Kalugina, Head of the Volunteer Support and Development Department at the "Agency for the Development of Civil Society of Amur Region" Autonomous Non-Profit Organisation, delivered a report titled "Federal and Regional Projects: A Map of Opportunities for Volunteers". Mark Kazantsev, Deputy Chairman of the Youth Council, 1st Category Specialist at the TsENKI Branch – Vostochny Space Centre, shared with the meeting participants his experience of volunteer activities carried out with colleagues as part of the Youth Council's work. Among the major events this year requiring volunteer assistance is the "Azimut" tourist rally in July-August.

"The event was super cool, we all really enjoyed it! The most valuable and useful thing was the information about the grant competition – we will definitely participate with our volunteer initiatives. NCCV in Amur Region, full speed ahead! The year has just begun, and we have many opportunities to make the world a little kinder. And as Yuri Gagarin said, 'Let's go!'"
