The Formula For Good Deeds featured prominently at Voronezh Oblast’s Corporate Volunteering Forum

8 september 2021

The Forum’s platform has become a place for non-profits, businesses and government authorities to exchange their best volunteering practices to deal with social issues in local communities.

Yuliya Klochkova, Voronezhsintezkauchuk JSC’s primary trade union organization’s leading specialist responsible for advocating health and healthy living and an Ambassador of the Formula for Good Deeds program in Voronezh Oblast, introduced the forum’s participants to SIBUR's practices.

She spoke in great detail about the Formula for Good Deeds program and the ways in which SIBUR’s employees, along with students and representatives of non-profits organizations, can participate in it. Ms. Klochkova presented initiatives that had been successfully implemented in Voronezh and in the region as a whole with the help of the Formula for Good Deeds program. These included, to note: an educational project titled Planet 36.6 Board Game, a sports festival called Exercising in Any Weather, a student project dubbed Accessible ART, etc.

She also presented a corporate volunteering program that involves employees of SIBUR Group companies. For example, each year, Voronezhsintezkauchuk’s employees take part in charity campaigns "Back to School" and "Get to Be a Santa Claus!", whereas members of the basketball team hold master classes for children from orphanages within the framework of the BasketFest project.

Active members of the WE! youth movement plan to implement another of Voronezh’s interesting initiatives called "Helping the Nature on the Run" as part of a
contest of employees’ volunteering projects by combining jogging with collecting waste and garbage.

I had been a volunteer for a long time when I decided, in 2019, to combine my professional interests with my social activities focused on helping children in distress. This is how the Sports World and BasketFest projects came about. I am being helped with their implementation by our company employees who are enthusiastic athletes and teach children the basics of team games. I am very glad that, year upon year, the ranks of our corporate volunteers are being joined by newcomers who want to change the world for the better, Yuliya Klochkova commented.
