September 27 saw one of the season’s standout events unfold in Belogorsk’s Amurselmash Park: the environmental Clean Park quest. Teams of volunteers had banded together for an important mission of cleaning up the park and making its grounds tidier and more comfortable. Achieving this objective, however, meant that they first had to overcome a whole series of challenges. This was more than just a simple cleanup; it was a genuine adventure! An obstacle course and orienteering, intellectual games, as well as unending and intense teamwork turned this community clean-up day into a thrilling contest making each of its participants a true eco-hero!

The volunteering EcoGeneration project of Svobodny’s branch of Gazprom Transgas Tomsk had become a winner of the Communities Changing the World grant contest, implemented with the support of SIBUR's Formula for Good Deeds social investment program, the Amur branch of the National Corporate Volunteering Council (NCVC), and as part of the drive to advance development of municipal volunteering in Belogorsk.

Clean Park’s organizational management and support came from the Committee for Education and Youth Affairs of Belogorsk, Belogorsk’s Priyemykhov Cultural Development Center, and Sports School No. 2 of Belogorsk.

As part of the eco-quest, volunteers from the LizaAlert search and rescue squad held an instructional session for the participants on their experience in finding missing people. The festive mood of the event was kept up by an emcee and performers from the Cultural Development Center.
