Tobolsk residents tried their hand at painting at master classes by Moscow's Draw&Go studio

1 november 2021

More than 400 Tobolsk residents got to take part in painting master classes held on October 22 through October 31. The classes were put on by artists from the Moscow-based Draw&Go studio with the support of SIBUR's Formula for Good Deeds social investment program. The residents were offered free master classes on 17 topics ranging from botany-themed postcards to interior painting on canvas.

All pieces of art produced by the participants were put on display at a special exhibition held on October 29. Open voting was then used to choose six winners in such categories as "Watercolors", "Pastel", and "Acrylic". The winners’ names are: Daniil Suslov, Albina Saitova, Polina Gorelko, Alena Kraynova, Valeria Skipina, and Ksenia Popova. The works by the winners will be reproduced on billboards installed across the city. Three of the winners with the most votes also received acrylic paint box sets.

Draw&Go Studio also held a six-hour-long intensive online class for 15 Tobolsk artists/teachers. The program of the class included instruction in acrylic painting using Draw&Go’s proprietary technique, a brief introduction to the theory and practice of fashion art, a master class on galaxy watercolors, and a theoretical unit covering fundamental principles of interacting with students. Ahead of the class, all attendees had been sent branded boxes with art supplies for use during the intensive class. Upon completing the class, all artists were provided with certificates of completion as well as instructional materials and access to Draw&Go’s online classes.

A pleasant master class with a super cool atmosphere! They were very attentive and considerate. Even my little three-year-old daughter was able to participate and get lots of positive emotions. I wish everyone could attend this master class at least once! Artur Tereshchenko, a participant of the "Pastel-Colored Post-Card” master class, noted.

Many thanks to the Draw&Go Studio! These are great events designed to help people get to know art better and realize that there is a lot of beauty around and we should look at the world with our eyes wide open, Nadezhda Suslova, an attendee of the “Food Art” master class, commented.

What a great team of instructors: in just two hours I was able to produce a piece of art that I enjoy and am proud of. I got to learn pastel techniques and principles of working with colors, Natalia Sadovnikova, an attendee of the "Pastel” master class, said.
