Draw&Go art studio to hold free painting master classes for Tobolsk’s residents

On October 22 through October 31, 2021, free painting classes will be offered to all Tobolsk’s residents by Draw&Go, a Moscow-based art studio, supported by SIBUR as part of its Formula for Good Deeds social investment program.

The studio art teachers have put on master classes for beginners (from the age of 6 and above), amateurs, and professionals, spanning 17 visual art genres. Everyone is invited to take part in any class regardless of their drawing skills. At the end of the master classes, a contest and an exhibition of the students’ best works of art will be held. The winners will be rewarded with drawing box sets for acrylic painting designed by Draw&Go Studio’s art director and featuring one of the following design themes: "Winter in the country", "The Little Prince" or "Space". Inside the boxes, the budding artist will find all the necessary art supplies including a round-shaped piece of canvas, an artist’s reference, a detailed tutorial, and candy for artistic inspiration.

The winners' works of art will be transferred to posters and banners to be displayed on the city’s streets. Back in 2017, the best works by the studio’s students already decorated the city at the following public transit terminals: Zhuravsky Grove, Novy Arbat, Neftekhimikov, and Industrial Institute, as part of Tobolsk’s first experimental creative platform #ARTLAB.

The studio’s master classes will cover the following areas of graphic art:

• Galaxy painting with acrylic on canvas
• Botanical postcards
• Classic botany-themed artwork
• Space-themed book art
• Space postcards
• Painting on sliced wood surfaces
• Pastel
• Postcards in pastel
• Animalistic postcard
• Interior painting on canvas
• Landscape
• Fashion artwork
• Food-art on round-shaped canvasses
• Watercolor travel cards
• Interior painting on canvas

Willing participants will be able to choose a class to their liking on the studio's website at www.drawandgo-sibur.ru. Registration opens on October 11. To ensure that as many participants as possible get to attend the classes, there is a cap on the number of classes one can sign up for: up to three classes per guest. The number of available seats per workshop is up to 13 people. One master class will last 1 to 2 hours. The studio will provide all necessary art supplies.

On October 31, Tobolsk-based artists and teachers of painting will be offered free master classes. The curriculum includes a theoretical part including the fundamentals of interacting with students based on Draw&Go’s proprietary methodology and practical classes on acrylic painting based on Draw&Go 's own proprietary techniques, a brief introduction to the theory and practice of fashion art, and a master class on galaxy painting in watercolors. All participants will be issued certificates of completion, watercolors drawing boxes with art materials and a branded apron, and access to a proprietary online course by Draw&Go titled "Watercolor Painting. Theory and Practice". To participate, one needs to fill out an application form and upload it along with their portfolio at www.drawandgo-sibur.ru. The number of seats is limited.

All master classes will be held at the following location: Tobolsk, 1 Ul. Chelyuskintsev.

Age restrictions: open to everyone aged 6 or above.

Draw&Go’s project has been under implementation in SIBUR's cities of operation since 2019. Over three years, classes have been attended by residents of Noyabrsk, Muravlenko, Blagoveshchensk (Republic of Bashkortostan), Pyt-Yakh and Nyagan.
