What do you know about birds living on the grounds of ZapSibNeftekhim? A thematic quiz dedicated to the World Environment Day

5 june 2021

World Environment Day is celebrated annually on June 5. It is intended to raise awareness of environmental problems. We call on everyone to take better care of their environment together with the Formula for Good Deeds. Happy World Environment Day!

Many interesting and sustainable environmental projects are being implemented within the framework of the Environmental Protection focus area of SIBUR's Formula for Good Deeds social investment program. These include large-scale volunteer clean-up days and forest restoration campaigns, making art objects from plastic waste, mini workshops set up for teaching local residents how to recycle plastic waste and learn how to create household items from recycled materials, or online master classes focusing on separate waste collection and recycling. The participants of these eco-educational events are residents of the cities where SIBUR operates.

Tyumen Oblast is home to the Land of Lapwings project combining nature conservation with environmental education activities. The project focuses on protecting birds nesting on the grounds of ZapSibNeftekhim, and on organizing birding competitions, eco-lessons, and special campaigns for residents of Tobolsk and Tyumen Oblast meant to draw attention to the problems of birds conservation.

We invite everyone to participate in a fun quiz about bird species inhabiting the grounds of ZapSibNeftekhim and win souvenirs from the Land of Lapwings project. One can take part in the quiz at this link. The results will be announced on Monday, June 7. Hurry up!
